C.
Lynn Kinkade was named Managing Artistic Director of Civic Theatre in
April 2006. Lynn holds a BA in theatre and drama from Indiana
University, and has worked with theatre groups in Indianapolis,
Bloomington, IN, Norwalk, CT, New York City, and the Republic of Vietnam
over the past 45 years as an actor, director, producer, playwright,
designer and technical worker.
In
Evansville, Lynn co-founded Actors’ Playhouse, and directed plays with
the group such as Danny and the Deep Blue Sea, Tape, and An
Empty Plate in the Café du Grande Boeuf. He has appeared on the
Civic Theatre stage as Frog in Catfish Moon and Robert in
Proof. He has also worked with the Repertory People of Evansville
and the River’s Bend Playhouse in Evansville. He played Bill Clay in
the film Novem that was produced locally by Bradley David
Productions, and has worked locally on independent theatre and film
projects. In early 2006, he co-chaired a creative work group a year ago
in which class members explored aspects of acting, improv, dance, music
and movement.
