Charles Julius
Technical Director

Charles Julius began his theatrical career in 1972 after graduating from high school in Enid, Oklahoma. Charles holds a MA in Dramatic Arts from Emporia State University and over the past 24 years has been the Technical Director for the Western Arkansas Ballet, Artist-In-Education for the Arkansas Arts Council, Artist-In-Residence at Westmark Community College, Designer/TD for Theatre Tulsa Inc., Technical Director for the Henderson Fine Arts Center, and Shop Foreman for the Emporia Summer Rep Company for two seasons.  Charles has also produced freelance designs for numerous theatre groups including American Indian Theatre Company, King Operas House Players, Ft Smith Little Theatre, Duncan Community Theater, Henderson Community Theater, and the Warrick County Summer Musical.  Charles has been the Technical Director for Civic Theatre since 2000.

Most inspiring person: "My dad, who taught me how to use tools and, at the age of 5, taught me that I could have anything I wanted if I could make it myself. Isn't that what technical theatre is all about?"
